My particular interests are in women’s healthcare, fertility and dermatology. I have undertaken further study in obstetric acupuncture with Debra Betts. This included use of acupuncture for commonly- encountered problems in pregnancy, breech presentation, preparation for labour, acupuncture induction and post-natal care.

I have also taken courses with the gynaecology and fertility expert, Jani White, founder of the Acupuncture Fertility Network. My interest in fertility led me to extensively research acupuncture’s effectiveness as an adjunctive therapy in IVF treatment. Research shows that acupuncture has a significant positive impact on IVF outcome ( Paulus et al 2002, Smith et al 2008). I have extensive experience in treating infertility, pregnancy nausea and fatigue, and breech presentation.

My training in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture was in the system of ‘Constitutional Facial Acupuncture’ (LINK), developed by Mary Elizabeth Wakefield, based on the work of the French Acupuncturist Jaques Lavier. As a holistic treatment, this system views the face as a mirror of the body, mind and emotions. As well as addressing the client’s concerns about facial aging, underlying imbalances are also treated.
